This was a true project of collaboration, when Alison from Alison Leon Studio reached out about working together to bring a vision to life to a very special brand it was truly a no brainer. WJ Shaw Jewellers is a family run jewellers established in 1988, offering bespoke jewellery design and repair.
They were going through a massive rebrand including website and photography (product and model) which made it even more special to be a part of such an amazing project.
This project was all about encapsulating the new vision for the brand. An elevated, minimalist and modern look to bring a new light to this family run jewellery business.
We knew that the images needed to work well with the new branding as well as the layout of the website so with Alison's guidance we worked on a moodboard to represent the overall vibe of the photos we were aiming for.
It was also really important that both, product and model shots aligned with the new direction of the business so we discussed things such as props, backdrops and model to make sure it all worked well as a whole and created a cohesive visual identity.
We decided to go for light and neutral tones for the product images with very minimal props and styling to truly let the jewellery pieces be the primary focus of each image. We elevated them with some delicate shadows and dappled light as it really helped to convey the luxury feel of this jewellery business.
For the model shoot, we picked the wonderful Hope who was the perfect face for the brand. Next, we discussed the wardrobe and styling options as we wanted to make sure that the clothing really aligns with the new branding and an elevated, sophisticated yet slightly relaxed look.
We were all so pleased with how the final images turned out and it was such a wonderful team effort. Alison's input and creative direction really helped to bring this vision to life and once the images were up on the new website it truly took the brand to the next level.
It was so lovely to be a part of such a special project and it really is a reflection of how important each elements of visual identity are - the images would have looked great on their own and so would the branding however it was the bringing of it all together that truly made such a significant impact.
